Operating Rover from Different Grids is Fun for Me

August 2011, I first started mapping my rover trips using Great Circle Maps (GcmWin) from SM3GSJ.  Note that these are grids from where I have operated.  Mostly FM, but some SSB.

By October of 2011, you can see I am “expanding my territory.”  I started to more regularly carry my satellite gear with me as I made my work rounds.

November 2011, we made a trip over Thanksgiving break to see some hams in EM55.

Jump to September 2012 and you can see I’ve made a road trip from Texas to Massachusetts.  Also EL98 is represented from a couple of trips I made to Orlando.

While I don’t always visit rare grids, it’s fun to get on the air from different places.  Sometimes the grid may not be rare to me but someone else needs it. I always QSL 100% to those who send me and email request or SASE.  Most of the time I upload to Logbook of the World, too.
